The partnership was formed in August 2024, with the 100th flight taking place in May 2025 between Belfast and London Luton. The travel experience was for Ava, an eight-year-old girl living with a haematological condition. Through Make-A-Wish and with the support of easyJet, Ava and her family were able to watch the musical Wicked in the West End and enjoy sightseeing in London.
“The flight was good, everyone was so friendly,” said Ava’s mother, Jennifer. “They made an announcement, and the kids got to go in the cockpit on the way there and back! It was such a brilliant weekend! The kids had a ball!”
Holly and Zara were also able to fulfil their wishes with the charity and the airline. Holly, who is six years old and lives with Angelman Syndrome, was granted the wish to fly to Lapland, UK, from Jersey with her family. Zara is 12 and lives with cystic fibrosis, and she was able to fly from Belfast to London to see SIX the musical.
“We are incredibly honoured to have been able to help grant the wishes of children like Ava, Holly and Zara through our partnership with Make-A-Wish,” said Michael Brown, Director of Cabin Services for easyJet. “It has been our great privilege for easyJet and our dedicated crew to fly over 100 children and their families across Europe to help play a small part in making their wishes come true.”
“We’re incredibly thankful to easyJet for helping bring joy and adventure to the lives of the children and families we support,” commented Luciano Manzo, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish International. “For those navigating the challenges of a critical illness, the chance to travel, discover new places, and share meaningful moments with loved ones can be truly transformative. With easyJet’s generous support, we’re able to make more of these transformative wishes come true for children across Europe.”
