The island of Sal in Cape Verde is the inaugural Sub-Saharan route, with flights set to take off from London Gatwick on 31 March 2025, operating three times a week. To accompany the new destination, easyJet holidays is launching package holidays to Sal, with a range of resorts and hotels available.
“We’re proud to be releasing such an incredible range of new routes and package holidays today, providing more choice for customers to visit more of the places they love across Europe and to experience some incredible new destinations,” said Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Country Manager. “Our continued growth and investment in the UK and the connectivity we offer our customers highlights the importance of the market for us, where this year we operated more flying than ever before.”
London Luton will see new routes to Almeria and Funchal, as well as another brand-new destination, Rimini in Italy. Meanwhile, Manchester Airport is receiving five new routes for the summer to Izmir, Kalamata, Larnaca, Madrid and Rome. At Birmingham, customers will be able to use two new services to Gran Canaria and Malta, and two routes to Malaga and Palma will take off from Leeds Bradford Airport.
Scotland is also getting a boost of summer choices, with Enfidha, Marrakech, Olbia and Sardinia from Edinburgh, and Antalya and Reus from Glasgow. The Reus route will equally be made available to passengers at Belfast International Airport.
