Croatia Airlines renews component contracts

Croatia Airlines has extended two long-standing contracts with Lufthansa Technik AG. The extended agreements cover the Airbus A320s of the Croatia flag carrier airline, which operates six of the type.

The existing Total Component Support (TCSR) contract was extended by seven years. At the same time, the contract covering APU services was extended by five years. Croatia Airlines will also become an operator of Lufthansa Technik’s digital platform AVIATAR.

Davor Bujan, Technical Director Croatia Airlines, commented on the contract extension: “Technical expertise has strongly contributed to Croatia Airlines being recognised as a safe air operator. This cooperation expansion contract  is another confirmation of the excellent relations between us and our long-standing partner, which I believe will develop further to the benefit of both parties.”

Croatia Airlines will benefit from AVIATAR, Lufthansa Technik’s independent digital platform for the aviation industry. Using selected products and solutions, Croatia Airlines will see increased reliability and aircraft availability. Having been a maintenance partner for the airline since 1992, the the MRO provider started to support the Boeing 737 fleet serving with the airline with an integrated Total Technical Support contract (TTSR). In 1997, when the airline acquired its first Airbus A320 for its fleet. Lufthansa Technik was selected as the provider of TTSR. Additionally, Croatia Airlines’ Bombardier Q400 turboprops have been under a Total Component Support (TCSR) since 2008.

Currently the main focus of the contract is for the Airbus A319/A320 fleet, which covers a broad spectrum of component services, engine maintenance, support for Airframe Related Components (ARCR) and provision of APUs.
