The UK’s Cranfield University and Dassault Systèmes have partnered to launch a specialist engineering course in a bid to combat skills shortages in the aviation industry,

The programme will equip engineers with essential Applied Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) skills to tackle the growing complexity of aircraft development.

The course emphasises practical application, using Dassault Systèmes’ software, including its Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which enables collaborative design, simulation, and manufacturing, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

The initiative builds on the existing partnership between the two organisations, which aims to drive innovation and skills development in the aerospace sector.
