ATR has announced the addition of three ATR 72-600 aircraft to Cambodia Angkor Air’s fleet, which will be renamed as Air Cambodia from 1 January 2025.

“Today marks a significant milestone for Cambodia Angkor Air as we expand our fleet with the addition of three ATR 72-600,” said Zhan David, Vice Chairman and CEO of Cambodia Angkor Air (K6). “This partnership with ATR and HNCA underscores our commitment to providing our passengers with reliable and modern air travel options. We are excited about the opportunities this new fleet will bring, enhancing our connectivity both domestically and internationally while supporting the growth of the Cambodian aviation industry.”

The three aircraft were purchased by HNCA Aviation Financial Leasing to be leased to Cambodia Angkor Air, with deliveries expected in 2025. The fleet expansion falls in line with the Cambodian government’s plans to develop regional connectivity with more routes and additional airports. Currently, Cambodia Angkor Air has one A321, two A320s, and two ATR 72s.

“Our partnership with Cambodia Angkor Air and HNCA is a testament to ATR’s dedication to providing advanced, efficient, and low-emission aircraft that are well-suited to the unique demands of regional markets,” commented Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, Chief Executive Officer at ATR. “The ATR 72-600 will allow Cambodia Angkor Air to enhance its domestic services and strengthen links across Southeast Asia, ensuring connectivity for people and businesses alike.”
