MRO provider Caerdav has announced the opening of a dedicated fourth line of maintenance at its Twin Peaks facility at St Athan in Wales.

Following extensive remodelling, the company’s technicians can now simultaneously work on up to four aircraft at any given time.

By performing the majority of maintenance work on-site, Caerdav aims to improve efficiencies and decrease aircraft turnaround times for its customers.

The company offers a full suite of services, including heavy checks, refurbishment, and end-of-life/end-of-lease transition maintenance for the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families.

The remodelled hangars at St. Athan feature improved back shop capabilities and additional workshop space, allowing Caerdav to support a wider array of in-house maintenance activities, including composite repairs, non-destructive testing and repair and restoration paint services

Chris Coleman, Managing Director at Caerdav, highlighted the move as a crucial step in the company’s growth strategy.

“With the global demand for aircraft maintenance continuing to increase, opening a fourth line was the next phase of our detailed growth strategy,” he said.

He added that the increased capacity has already secured the company’s operational stability, with new agreements signed with a variety of customers, ranging from major leasing companies to airlines.

“We are now in a position to fill our hangars throughout the year — which is the target for every aircraft MRO,” Coleman said.

Caerdav has significantly expanded its MRO capabilities.
