Budapest Airport has lauded the return of easyJet’s route from Lyon to Budapest, which will operate twice weekly to connect the two cities.
The route, which was last operated pre-pandemic, is expected to see increased frequencies as demand grows. It offers more than 2,500 monthly seats and has no direct competition.
The flights commenced operations on 21 August, marking easyJet’s fourth route from the airport.
Mate Ritter, Head of Airline Development at Budapest Airport, commented: “This new route illustrates the strength of VINCI Airports’ network. Furthermore, beginning in October, the airline will resume its popular Budapest to Paris Charles de Gaulle route, offering four weekly flights to enhance travel options between Hungary’s capital and the French metropolis.”
