Broward Aviation Services (BAS), a US-based aircraft parts provider, has opened a new stock facility in Shannon, Ireland, to enhance the company’s support for European airline operators by providing faster access to its component inventory and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services.

The new facility has 10,000 square feet of warehouse space with an inventory valued at around $15 million. Located next to Shannon International Airport, the hub will focus on sales, customer support, and rapid response AOG services, adding to services offered from BAS’s headquarters in Florida.

Tracey Downes, Managing Director of Broward Aviation Services Ireland, said: “We have found EMEA customers recognise the speed of response that BAS is renowned for. They are keen to do business with us for their aircraft and engine parts, excited by the fact we will be on their doorstep.

“If we can be more efficient and lean in the processes associated with dismantling aircraft and engines, we can pass on those benefits to airlines across the EMEA region,” Downes added.

The facility will also allow BAS to collaborate with Ireland’s network of teardown facilities, MROs, and repair shops to optimise processes and provide cost-effective solutions for airlines across the EMEA region.

BAS, established in 1999, holds accreditations and approvals from major aviation authorities and serves a global customer base of airlines, MROs, OEMs, and brokers.
