UK regional airline Blue Islands is running a series of courses designed to help nervous passengers overcome their fear of flying.
The Channel Islands carrier will run its “Freedom to Fly” courses in Jersey and Guernsey from 11 to 12 January and 18 to 19 January, respectively.
Held over two days, they involve Blue Islands’ training captains discussing “every aspect of aviation”, while behavioural change coach Mo Bury provides “tailored techniques to help attendees understand and cope with the feeling of fear”.
Participants will then take an experience flight, allowing them “to put their newfound knowledge and skills into practice”.
Rob Veron, CEO of Blue Islands, said, “Travel is essential for island residents and brings many opportunities; however, for those with a fear of flying, it can severely impact so many aspects of life, such as missing family occasions, work opportunities and memorable holiday experiences.”
