The first route will fly between the island and Exeter six times a week, with a non-stop flight on Thursdays and Sundays between May and September and a 30-minute stop in Jersey on the other days.
The service to East Midlands Airport will have three weekly flights and four additional flights in the Spring and Autumn, with all flights including a short stop in Jersey.
The final route to and from Norwich will operate twice a week, also with a stop in Jersey. Each of the new routes will use the airline’s fleet of five ATR aircraft, with four based in Jersey and one in Guernsey.
“We’re delighted to be increasing Blue Islands’ services from Guernsey next year with no fewer than three new routes to complement existing Blue Islands flights to Jersey and Southampton,” said Ronnie Matheson, Chief Revenue Officer of Blue Islands. “Exeter, East Midlands and Norwich are all long-standing destinations from Guernsey, and our new flights will be on sale from next week – providing plenty of opportunity to plan for 2025 whether travelling for leisure, to and from university, visiting friends and relatives or for business.”
The new routes will accompany the Guernsey to Southampton service, which is jointly operated by Aurigny and represents the island’s most vital connection.
Matheson added: “Connectivity is essential for island communities, and providing that year-round connectivity is a key part of Blue Islands’ DNA. Alongside today’s announcement, we’re looking forward to announcing further exciting developments in the coming weeks.”
