BizJet International, a US engine maintenance provider and Lufthansa Technik subsidiary, has been renamed to better align with its parent company and signal an expanded role in the Americas.

The company, which is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is now called  Lufthansa Technik Engine Services (LTES).

Founded in 1986, BizJet International initially serviced corporate aviation. After joining the Lufthansa Technik Group in 2000, it grew, adding capabilities like Rolls-Royce Tay engine maintenance in 2004 and joining Lufthansa Technik’s Mobile Engine Services (MES) network in 2016.

MES provides on-site engine repair for commercial aircraft and has made the Tulsa facility the second largest in its network.

“The Lufthansa Technik brand strengthens our position in both corporate and commercial engine services. We aim to grow our market share in the Americas, which means expanding our Tulsa facility,” said Michael Scheferhoff, LTES’s new President and CEO.
