Binter Canarias has signed a contract with Embraer to adopt the Beacon digital maintenance platform for its E195-E2 fleet. The Canary Islands’ airline signed the agreement following a successful trial of the Embraer digital platform, which was carried out in 2022.

The partnership is the first commercial contract with a European airline for Beacon, the digital maintenance platform that connects and coordinates resources and professionals for the efficient return of aircraft to service.

Marco Cesarino, Head of Beacon, believes the digital service will continue to serve Binter travellers with comfort, timely and uninterrupted service: “They face a unique challenge in maintenance coordination with a distributed workforce. Through their trials, Binter has confirmed the benefits of real-time collaboration and insights facilitated by Beacon.”

“We began our Beacon platform trials with high expectations that it would improve aircraft availability and workforce allocation,” said Javier Bretόn, Director of Operations, Binter, “Beacon has proven to be an important resource for our maintenance teams, and we are glad to move forward to a commercial contract.”
