AXIS Flight Simulation has announced a partnership with software development studio Propair Flight to integrate virtual and mixed reality (VR/MR) technologies into their pilot training programmes.

The collaboration aims to create a more immersive training environment by combining traditional simulator training with VR/MR capabilities.

AXIS will integrate its certified simulators with Propair’s VR/MR software, allowing pilots to train in a more realistic and interactive environment, potentially improving their situational awareness and decision-making abilities.

“At AXIS, we are committed to pioneering the future of aviation training,” said Christian Theuermann, a member of the executive board at AXIS Flight Simulation. “Our partnership with Propair marks a significant leap forward in creating immersive experiences, setting new industry standards by integrating VR and MR capabilities into our wider offering to provide the next generation of training solutions.”

Péter Késmárki, Managing Director of Propair Flight, said: “Working with AXIS allows us to further develop and implement our technology in pilot training. Our combined efforts aim to advance innovation in the aviation training industry.”
