Low-fare Dominican Republic airline Arajet recently celebrated its second anniversary and also exceeded its passenger barrier for the third consecutive month.

The airline had its second anniversary on 15 September and mobilised over 120,000 passengers in August, with the barrier being 100,000 passengers, making Arajet the Dominican Republic airline with the highest passenger flow.

“Together, we are democratising the skies of the continent, now more people can travel, and we have achieved countless milestones in these two years that encourage us to continue making history,” said Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet.

The airline estimates that by the end of 2024, it will have transported around 1.3 million passengers, helped by developments such as new routes from Punta Cana International Airport. Arajet currently operates a fleet of 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
