Arajet adds a new Boeing aircraft in its fleet

Dominican airline Arajet has received the carrier’s 15th aircraft from aircraft manufacturer Boeing.

The aircraft, named “Isla Catalina”, was received by Manuel Luna, Head of Communications and Public Relations, while the Dominican Government was represented by Héctor Porcella, President of the Civil Aviation Board; Víctor Pichardo, Director of the Airport Department; and Paola Plá from the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation.

“This new aircraft is another step toward fulfilling our vision of connecting North, South, and Central America, making the Dominican Republic the new hub of the continent,” Manuel Luna said. Mr. Porcella and Mr. Pichardo highlighted the importance of Arajet’s fleet expansion for the growth of commercial aviation and air connectivity as drivers of tourism and national trade.

Arajet says the new aircraft will immediately join the airline’s operations, strengthening Arajet’s capacity to continue offering efficient and competitive flights to its passengers.

The airline has a modern fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and operates routes between the Dominican Republic and various destinations across North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
