AJW Group, an independent provider of component parts, repair, and supply chain solutions, has agreed to a long-term Power-By-the-Hour (PBH) support programme with South African low-fare operator FlySafair.

From 1 May 2025, AJW Group will provide PBH coverage with pool access and repair management for the carrier’s 30 Boeing 737NG aircraft, expanding its customer base into South Africa, in what AJW Group describes as “a significant milestone”.

AJW Group’s global inventory of Boeing 737 spares, complemented by the MRO services provided by AJW Technique in Montreal and a global network of repair contracts, was crucial to the agreement.

“By maintaining a flexible and customer-centric approach, AJW will remain agile to FlySafair’s evolving operational needs, ensuring tailored support that meets the unique challenges of the region,” said the company in a statement.

Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair, said AJW was the “ideal partner” for the airline.

“Partnering with AJW…provides us with access to high-quality components, expert repair management, and a seamless supply chain solution. We look forward to a successful collaboration that enhances our operational performance and strengthens our ability to serve our passengers reliably,” he said.
