The Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), taking place in Hamburg next month, will feature the latest technology from over 60 exhibitors in its Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) Zone.
Industry leaders, including Panasonic Avionics, Rosen Aviation, Thales, Viasat, and Telekom Deutschland GmbH, will be in the zone, presenting innovations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-commerce.
Key highlights include:
- Panasonic Avionics: Demonstrating enhanced interactive map technology, exploring IFEC as a promotional channel, and showcasing multi-orbit connectivity solutions.
- Rosen Aviation: Unveiling new cabin electronics, including a 1-by-3 Digital Skylight configuration with curved OLED displays and the SmartMap Box with smart TV capabilities.
- Thales: Presenting FlytEDGE, its cloud-native IFEC platform, alongside 4K HDR QLED screens, spatial audio, and accessibility features.
- AirFi: Demonstrating its LEO connectivity solution, offering global coverage and online payment validation for onboard retail.
- Spafax Group: Showcasing its Connected Content Stream, a digital content marketing platform for personalised IFEC experiences, including live sports tickers and lounge streaming.
- FlightPath3D: Debuting its Accessibility Map, designed to enhance accessibility for visually impaired and mobility-challenged passengers.
- ThinKom: Unveiling its ThinAir® Plus product line, featuring multi-orbit, multi-constellation support and a LEO-only electronically steered antenna.
Archana Dharni, Event Director of AIX, said there is increasing demand for seamless, high-quality inflight experiences, and the zone will be a “go-to destination” for the industry.
“With a standout line-up of exhibitors showcasing everything from high-definition screens to large-format integrated displays and more, the IFEC Zone will highlight how innovations in next-gen IFEC systems and ultra-fast connectivity are reshaping inflight entertainment,” she said.
