Airbus selects Guillaume Faury as next CEO

Airbus’ Board of Directors has selected Guillaume Faury as future chief executive officer of Airbus, to succeed Tom Enders in April.

Faury, who currently serves as president Airbus Commercial Aircraft, will succeed Tom Enders who holds the position of CEO until the Annual General Meeting on 10 April 2019.

Guillaume Faury has held various senior management roles including at Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) from 1998 to 2008. In 2009, Faury joined Peugeot SA where he served as executive vice-president for research and development as a member of the managing board.

He returned to Airbus in May 2013 as CEO of Airbus Helicopters and took on the role of president of Airbus Commercial Aircraft in early 2018.

Commenting on the appointment, Tom Enders, CEO of Airbus called Faury “an excellent choice” adding, “He has gained broad industrial and aeronautic experience over many years and in many roles both inside and outside Airbus. With his strong values and international mindset, Guillaume stands for the new generation of leaders that Airbus needs for the coming decade.”
