Airbus continues to remain on its high after PAS19, with the company’s commercial aircraft business side posting a US$1.8 billion worth of aftermarket sales in the first half of 2019. Although the figure is slightly down compared to 2018, the company has managed to increase its total service sales by US$222 million.

Although the company has had a number of issues with its Hamburg production plant, which resulted in Airbus missing its delivery goal for the year, the OEM has reiterated its target of 880-890 deliveries for the full year.

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury has acknowledged that the “second half of the year in terms of deliveries and in particular free cash flow continues to be challenging.”

Airbus has seen its pre-tax profit climb 170% due to the increased output of the A320 family, of which the A320neo accounted for 234 of the 294 narrowbodies.
