Latvian carrier airBaltic has taken delivery of its 52nd Airbus A220-300 to its home base in Riga. The aircraft, registered as YL-BTB, is the third for the airline this year as it continues to solidify its position as the world’s leading operator of the type.
The arrival of YL-BTB strengthens airBaltic’s ability to manage its extensive network of 80 destinations across Europe and beyond. The airline also uses its fleet for ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services, partnering with other European carriers to provide flexible capacity during peak seasons.
The newest addition to the fleet joins a growing number of airBaltic aircraft equipped with SpaceX’s Starlink internet. In 2025, airBaltic became the first European airline to offer this high-speed, low-latency service for free to all passengers.
