airBaltic has announced that its operations at Frankfurt Airport will be relocated to Terminal 1 from 29 March 2026 to create a more seamless travel experience for passengers.

The move will place customers within closer proximity of the airline’s codeshare partner flights, as well as providing access to long-distance and regional train stations and the bus station.

Currently, airBaltic offers daily flights between Riga and Frankfurt, and also formed a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa for these flights in late 2025.

“Frankfurt is a key hub in our network, offering broad one-stop connectivity from Riga to destinations worldwide and supporting both business and tourism flows,” said Mantas Vrubliauskas, Vice President Network Management at airBaltic. “By moving operations to Terminal 1, customers will enjoy quicker and easier connections to onward flights, as the terminal is also used by our codeshare partners.”
