Latvian airline airBaltic carried 509,700 passengers across its network in June 2026. The carrier says this is a 2% year-on-year increase and that, during the same month, the airline operated 4,535 flights, representing a 6.2% increase compared with June 2025.
When it comes to load factor in June, it was 81.9%, down 2.2 percentage points year-on-year, which the carrier says is mainly due to increased capacity compared with the same period last year.
airBaltic carried a total of 2,454,900 passengers during the first half of 2026, representing a 3.9% year-on-year increase and the highest passenger volume ever recorded for the January-June period. Over the same period, the airline operated 23,634 flights, a 5% increase compared with the previous year.
airBaltic connects the Baltic States with more than 80 destinations and provides essential connectivity that supports tourism, business activity, and broader economic development.
The carrier recently began to offer a new Economy MINI ticket fare, which it says is an entry-level option for customers travelling with only a personal item. The airline’s Economy MINI includes one personal item of up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm and offers a simple, streamlined entry-level option for short business trips, weekend getaways, for example. Economy MINI passengers pay only for what they need and additional services such as a cabin bag, checked baggage or meals can be added at booking.
