Firstly, a new route will operate between Tallinn, Estonia and Maderia, Portugal once a week from now until 28 March 2026.
“This new route offers Estonian travellers the chance to experience a distinctive winter escape combining nature, adventure, and mild climate,” said Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic. “Alongside Madeira, our expanding leisure portfolio for the colder months – including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Nice, and Barcelona – continues to provide Estonian travellers with a wide variety of destinations and reinforces airBaltic’s position as the leading carrier in Estonia.”
There are three other brand-new routes for the winter schedule: Riga, Latvia to Faro Portugal; and Gran Canaria, Spain to both Ljubljana, Slovenia and Molde, Norway. Additionally, the airline will increase flight frequencies from Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius to Amsterdam, and expand its schedule to Dubai from Riga and Vilnius.
Three summer routes will also be extended into the winter schedule: Riga to Pisa, Italy and Porto, Portugal will continue into November; Riga to Catania, Italy will resume earlier than usual, at the end of February 2026; and Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, Egypt will increase to three weekly flights each. Additionally, Riga to Dublin, Ireland will resume, operating twice a week.
“As Latvia’s national airline, our mission remains to provide strong and reliable connectivity for Latvia and the entire Baltic region,” Vrubliauskas added. “This winter season, we are further expanding our network from the Baltics by adding new destinations and increasing frequency on several existing routes. These enhancements will offer even greater flexibility for both leisure and business travellers, while further strengthening RIX Riga Airport’s position as the leading air hub in the Baltics.”
The airline also recently announced its summer 2026 schedule with 110 routes on offer.
