“As the leading airline in the Baltic States, we are committed to providing the best global connectivity from the region to destinations worldwide,” said Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic. “Amsterdam is one of the most popular destinations in our network, and by closely monitoring market trends and passenger demand, we recognise that increasing flight frequency is a strategically important step for the Baltic region. This expansion will also provide customers with greater connectivity options and attract more tourists from around the world.”
Currently, airBaltic operates 50 A220-300s, with the intention to double the fleet by 2030. Recently, the airline announced its intentions to equip each aircraft with free Starlink Wi-Fi for all passengers by the end of the year, and the first Starlink-enabled flight took place this February.
