Bluebox Aviation Systems has announced its selection by Air Malta to deploy a Blueview digital passenger experience on the airline’s new Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The aircraft is due to be delivered next month, and the Blueview digital passenger experience will be live as soon as the aircraft enters service.

Air Malta is Bluebox’s third customer deployment for its Blueview wireless digital services platform on an Airbus Airspace Link installation. The first customer was Titan Airways in 2020, followed by Jetstar Group in 2022. Air Malta is currently undergoing a fleet replacement project, and a further three new Airbus 320neo aircraft will join the fleet.

Kevin Birchmore, VP of Global Sales at Bluebox, said that it was “exciting to see some real momentum on two fronts” – the first being “the demand for digital services in all its forms’, and the second being “the fact we’re seeing new aircraft […] kitted out from the start” with Bluebox‘s digital service platform.

Blueview is a software platform that allows passengers to view and access a range of digital services onboard and offers airlines the ability to earn ancillary revenue.
