Air Charter Scotland has announced that it has now completed four months on the Wick-Aberdeen-Wick route with a 98% dispatch reliability operating the 18-seat Jetstream J32.
“Our goal taking on this vital Public Service Obligation (PSO) route was to be consistently reliable and deliver a quality service that we are revered for in our day-to-day executive aviation activity,” said Derek Thomson, COO, Air Charter Scotland.
“I’m most grateful to our operations, ground handling team and our AOC partner AIS Airlines in the Netherlands for working so closely together to achieve a strong dispatch rate.”
The operator says small adjustments have been made to the timetable while entering the summer period that will benefit commuters, including those in the oil and gas sector and weekend leisure users.
Air Charter Scotland’s long-term ground handling partner, Signature Aviation at Aberdeen Airport is widening out its ground services to the Main Terminal to support the new scheduled flights.
Jeremy Fish, General Manager, Signature Aviation at Aberdeen Airport commented: “We are proud to continue to support Air Charter Scotland, our business partner for many years with Service handling on their new scheduled flight between Wick and Aberdeen. This route adds essential connectivity between communities and businesses across the Highlands and Islands. We look forward to playing a vital role in providing our customers with a reliable and high-quality service.”
Air Charter Scotland Wick arrivals in Aberdeen are well timed for onward departures from Aberdeen to London Heathrow with British Airways (Mon-Thur, Sun), Amsterdam with KLM (Mon-Thur, Sun) and Manchester with Loganair (Mon-Thur, Sun).
