Air Astana is expanding its operations to southern China with the launch of twice-weekly flights between Astana and Guangzhou from June 2, 2026. This new service adds to the Kazakhstan-based airline’s existing routes to the city, where it has operated four weekly flights from Almaty since March 2025.
The flights from Kazakhstan’s capital are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing at 18:45 and arriving at 04:30 the following day. Return legs will depart Guangzhou on Wednesdays and Fridays at 05:45, reaching Astana at 10:10. All operations will use Airbus A321LR aircraft with a flight time of 6 hours and 45 minutes.
Round-trip tickets are available, priced from USD 508 in Economy Class and USD 1,688 in Business Class.
A spokesperson for Air Astana said: “The launch of the new route helps strengthen business, tourism and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China, and expands opportunities for travel and transit through Air Astana hubs in Astana and Almaty.”
The airline also operates services to Beijing and Urumqi, with a new route between Almaty and Shanghai set to begin in late March 2026.
