South American ACMI operator Avion Express Brasil has registered a second Airbus A320 family aircraft, a move that it says is a “significant milestone” for its footprint in the region.
The expansion comes just under a year after the company obtained its Brazilian Air Operator Certificate (AOC). By transferring aircraft from its European parent company’s fleet to the Brazilian registry, Avion Express Brasil is positioning itself to meet the “robust growth” and rising passenger demand within the local aviation sector.
Alongside the fleet growth, the airline announced its first major long-term ACMI project. The carrier has signed a contract with the Argentine airline Flybondi, providing a critical foothold for ACMI operations in Latin America.
CEO Esteban Jauregui Lorda emphasised that this is only the beginning of an aggressive growth strategy.
He said: “Expanding our fleet was part of our plan from the beginning of the year. Our goal is to grow the fleet to five aircraft in 2026. A growing fleet demonstrates our credibility and serious commitment to the Brazilian market.”
